We are super excited to reveal the next tabitha cover girl at our launch party next Wednesday (6-9pm Lost Society, pop in if you are free!).
Today in our throwback thursday post we take a look back at our previous beautiful cover girls, what a journey it has been so far. Such a delight to work with each & every one of them and all of the teams behind them.
Starting with our most recent cover for issue 5. As soon as we saw this commissioned piece by the amazingly talented illustrator Carol Mahon, we knew it was the cover. Carol was our featured artist in issue 5 and she illustrated this girl especially for the magazine.
On to issue 4 with the beautiful Alicia Kavanagh from Distinct Model Management. We shot this out in our old office space in Dundrum and Alicia was a joy to work with. She looks like a doll on the cover & perfectly sums up the tabitha aesthetic. We pulled some beautiful House on The Prairie-esque dresses from Carousel to complete the look. The second shot is the photo we used to launch the release date.
Our third issue with the beautiful Maire! Our winter edition cover, we knew we wanted it in black & white and this close-up of Maire was the perfect shot. She is wearing a stunning piece from Irish designer Sinead Dunleavy.
Li-Ann Smal for Issue two. A future Burberry model in the making we were working with here on our second cover shoot for tabitha. Li-Ann is one of the sweetest girls and we will always remember her shoot as a lot of fun. The idea was pretty contrasting prints. & lots of fun brightly coloured outfits. Love these gorgeous shots for the cover & the promotional poster that we used.
I remember this day like it was yesterday, shooting our very first cover for tabitha. How excited we were and how we had know idea what the future held. All we knew was that this was something we really wanted to do and what an awesome journey it has been so far since this first experience on a tabitha magazine cover shoot. (and stressful of course but worth it!) As I write this all I can hope for is many more in the future to come.
A special mention to photographer Shane O’ Connor who shot 4 out of the five cover stories for us. His hard work, dedication & patience made our visions turn into a reality and he is one talented photographer.
