Who doesn’t love a good red carpet? We were spoiled this week by not one but two celeb filled events.
First up were the VMAs, and although most of the red carpet attendees looked like they had traveled back to the ILAC centre in the 90’s to pick up their outfits, all was forgiven with the amazing stage costumes. Beyonce and Tay Swift both looked amazing in metallic ensembles.
On the red carpet, our gal Solange ( all hail) rocked an over sized bedazzled tux…by H&M ( or so I read somewhere. And I am clinging to this like it’s gospel, I need this tux) To be fair I think she could have worn shorts with it instead of the trousers, but I guess that would have been too predictable for HRH Solange.
And onto the Emmys – which obviously was living by the motto “On Mondays we wear red” as it seemed like 90% of the ladies proved that the carpet did indeed matched the drapes…of their gowns. Gwen Stefani stood out , ( to be honest, as I was watching the live tweets I didn’t recognize her for a moment due to the lack of her red lips TM) in the most amazing silver Versace number. Just the right amount of bling, just the right amount of trashy cut outs, and just the right amount tailored but slouchy chic. The woman was a Goddess.
I’m not going to do a full run down of the looks, but if you are looking for awesome coverage of the week in outfits head to The Dress Down.
