Galway Glamping.

It was our lovely pals hen party last weekend and we went glamping in Galway to celebrate. It was such a great weekend and venue that we decided to do a little blog post about it. If anyone is looking for a chilled out hen party or just a great weekend away with your friends then we would highly recommend this place.

Tucked away just outside Tuam you will find the Galway Glamping site about a two hour drive from Dublin city. We stayed in a six bed yurt which was amazing. Look how pretty it is below. It was warm but always bring extra clothing because it ain’t the Ritz, you will still be outside quite a bit because you will want to be, the grounds are amazing.

For March we were absolutely blessed with the amazing weather and we organised to play bubble football (Don’t knock it until you have tried it, it is gas! Sore bodies afterwards though) that evening. There is a whole list of other activities that can be organised for you by the amazing owners of the site who cannot do enough for you.

We were luckily the only group down there at the weekend so we had the whole place to ourselves which was lovely. Each group has a kitchen and living space to themselves to eat, drink, dance and relax. (We ticked all those boxes.) They can also cater for a bbq for groups of 15 people or over. There was only 12 of us so we stocked up with everything we would need and had a yummy bbq for our dinner. All the bbq equipment is provided for.

We took walks down to the river to watch the sunset (so, so lucky with the weather!) and the owners lit a campfire for us to toast our marshmellows over.

Here are a few more pics from our weekend… Seriously if anyone is looking for a relaxing, inexpensive staycation with their pals go here and enjoy!

When you get beaten in bubble football you crack open a corona and watch from the sides in the sun. Lol.

Another great thing about this venue is that it is only twenty minutes away from Galway city. We had a Sunday filled with brunch and delicious drinks from Bite Club and Dela, two places you must visit if you find yourself in town.
